As a photographer specializing in luxury editorial wedding photography, it’s an honor to capture each couple’s unique wedding vision. Katrina and Julian chose the grand Aldie Mansion, a historic English-country estate commissioned by William and Martha Mercer, surrounded by picturesque gardens with splashing fountains, soaring trees, and winding pathways.
Built in 1927, The Aldie Mansion evokes a bygone era of craftsmanship being an art form. Sculpted by William Mercer himself, the mansion’s architectural details include ornate gargoyles, intricate brickwork, antique tiles, and charming garden ornaments. Particularly, the winding, hand-carved staircase, ornately decorated doors, grand fireplaces, and the two-story bank of leaded glass windows in the Great Hall which invite guests to step back in time.
For their regal reception at the Aldie Mansion, the couple opted for a simple, classic décor to showcase the natural beauty of the venue. Ethereal floral installations and elegant tablescapes softened the grandiosity of the manor’s interiors, exuding the timeless elegance of the English countryside. This historic English-garden wedding allowed me to capture a collection of timeless, vogue-esque images that will allow Katrina and Julian to relive their amazing day for years to come.
